Brooklyn Wind Turbine

Panorama 1 of 1

Brooklyn Wind Turbine, an experimental electricity-generating turbine installed in 1993. The capital city of Wellington and the harbour is visible in the surrounding hills. This panorama was shot on September 22 (the spring equinox) for the Worldwide Panorama Project, in which VR Panorama Photographers around the globe shoot a panorama on the same day. The theme this time was energy.

Fabulous photos! Could you use a helium filled baloon rather than a kite for better control? You wouldn’t have to rely on the wind and you could control altitude better and weight probably wouldn’t be much of a factor.

YeAh, you would also get greater stability due to less perturbation, for greater shots.
