Taken from the roof of the seven-story Beaux Arts Key Systems building in downtown Oakland. It was built in 1911 by Frederick H. Meyer and Walter D. Reed originally as the Security Bank Building and then later as the Bank of Italy.

To get the shot, I had to balance my tripod to keep it from tumbling down 6-stories. And composing the shot was out of the question since I couldn’t see through the viewfinder (or even the LCD display, for that matter). I just took a bunch of shots, trying to adjust the camera based on what I got the previous time.
