8.5-minute exposure of artist D.V. Rogers’
shake table taken on a moonless night. During the exposure, I lit the 10-foot rods with a Xenon flashlight, and filled in the table top with a blue-gel’d flashlight.
The star trails recording their mark on the image reinforces the artist’s vision of the piece being a time-based earthwork that shakes in response to California earthquakes in near real-time.
