Uchronia

Uchronia (aka the Belgian Waffle), a massive 15-story chamber, was constructed by nailing together more than 50,000 2x4s in a seemingly random assemblage. After sundown, the artists lit the outside using green lamps and the structure played host to giant dance parties.

According to Jan Kriekels, one of the artists, “We didn’t use a model, we just started at the bottom and kept adding as we went up.”
