Seating area lit by flashlight, followed by me stumbling around in the dark, crunching through the 1-inch thick layer of pigeon poo to the projection room, which I lit using a red-gel’d flashlight.
Opened in 1947, and closed in 1982, the theatre has sat vacant ever since, falling into a state of disrepair. Currently, the Lorenzo Theater Foundation is raising funds to try to save the theatre from the wrecking ball.
