18-wheeler traffic cuts right through main street Goldfield all night long, a mining ghost town on HWY 95 in Nevada.
The Goldfield Hotel, which was constructed in 1908 during the town’s mining boom years, has been closed since 1945. Once called the most luxurious hotel west of Chicago, the hotel now sits vacant in a half-remodeled state following several false starts to restore the hotel and bring it back to its former glory.
