Roy’s Cafe

Roy’s Cafe, a Hollywood favorite for filming movies and commercials, struggles to cling to life after being bypassed by Interstate 40 in 1972.
Once the site of a bustling motel, service station, and cafe, motorists passing through today can purchase Route 66 memorabilia and water, but no gas or food. However, I got the impression there might be plans to reopen the cafe judging by the looks of things when I stopped late at night on Thanksgiving day.
