The magnificent Bixby Bridge, along California’s coastal HWY 1. The bridge, which stands 120 feet above the creek below and boasts a concrete arch that spans 320 feet, was a WPA project completed in 1931 for $200,000.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t get my camera any higher because the winds were gusty, turbulent, and strong. In fact, there were times when I wondered if I would get my camera back in one piece! I did manage, but I snapped very few usable shots.
