The final ladder to the bell, several stories up.
The ladder was stable enough to climb up, but there was a tired pigeon sitting on it standing its ground. I was literally a foot away trying to climb the ladder and the damn thing wouldn’t budge. I convinced my friend to give it a nudge, then I climbed up.
When I poked my head up to see the bell, a 1-foot-deep pile of pigeon poo was right there in my face to welcome me!
