These guys pulled up in their own 1969 vintage Cadillac while I was shooting the monument. Like me, they started out in the SF Bay Area, but they were driving across the entire country in their self-made convertible Cadillac. Apparently, they sawed off the roof in their garage before leaving, and they were counting on no rain showers!
