Cars and trucks on I-10 zip past this bypassed, abandoned gas station in Desert Center. The station is located on Ragsdale Road, named in honor of the town’s founder, “Desert Steve” Ragsdale, who broke down on the sand road during a trip to Los Angeles in 1915. He returned in 1921 with his family and stayed until the 1950s.

Hmm…I think you’re right, Paul. The side of the building isn’t very interesting. I could always just crop it too ;-)
