Photo 107 of 1981
Central point of Pete French Round Barn, showing the wood beam support structure radiating out. Cattle rancher Peter French constructed the round barn in the late 1870s or early 1880s to train horses in wintertime. The central section, which served as a stable, is surrounded by a covered circular track along the circumference that he used to exercise his horses.
The barn was listed on the National Register in September 1971.
